Carole Cadwalladr has someting against BC, I guess. Why does she posts as if BC was (were?) the writer?
They are people comparing this situation with Khan (!) and Assange. They still didn't mention Doctor Strange. I think they should change this to a miniseries, split the two hours into two episodes and add a third one with things of the post referendum and today chaos.

Ha! That seems like such a random thing to mention in the article! I certainly hope that the underwear scene makes it into the final draft of the script - and maybe even a shower of bathtub scene? The guy must have taken showers or baths in real life!

Yes! It’s very important to the integrity and believability of the script that we see, (with our own eyes) all the times Mr. Whoever (being played by BC) has a bath, or shower, or is just not yet completely dressed. I don’t know how I’m supposed to accept Ben as this person unless I see him inhabiting his character in this way. That is the basis of acting, is it not?
Okay, bugger the unimportant Brexit plot. Just get me a film of BC in his boxers for 2 hours.

I just thought it was funny that the article scoffed at the idea that two characters played tennis together. It was so far-fetched and unbelievable that they couldn't take the rest of the script seriously. But Benedict's character downloading stuff in his underwear? Nothing unusual there!

Funny thing is all of this outrage is just going to make more people watch it. Why it’s as if someone in the publicity department leaked it with just that result in mind., 🤔

I think they should change this to a miniseries, split the two hours into two episodes and add a third one with things of the post referendum and today chaos. Well, they are journalists and they know that naming the famous one would attract more attention. A writer defended him saying that as a writer he would take total responsibility for any serious factual error and would hate people blaming his actors. Someone said he is an intelligent actor so he should know (the details). I imagined that person thinking "I have seen him resolving crimes so why shouldn't he deduce how exactly the Breitbart's office is actually decorated!" Also dumb actors are totally innocent, of course! The author of The Daily Beast piece is very infamous himself! He is the guy who wrote an article which only purpose was to outed gay athletes at Sochi Olympics. Also for The Daily Beast.

Holy shit! That woman seems nuts on Twitter. She called it “propaganda” even when she began her diatribe saying she now agreed with a Breitbart editor against the movie (or more exactly against BC, because they only mentioned him!). Propaganda in favor of what? If it makes angry both sides! Then she suggested the movie was funded by Trump donators/Russians after she found one company producing the movie had one investor in common with the Presidential inauguration. When she was questioned by another journalist about the meaning of that and the seriousness of what she unfairly was suggesting, she just said she was just pointing how there is Russian money everywhere not that they have a saying about the movie! I think if she knows something dirty about the film she should do a well founded piece instead of suggesting things and then retracting them on Twitter! She doesn’t seem to understand or wanting to understand that she hasn’t watched the movie and that what she read wasn’t a complete thing and it’s so old that it doesn’t include new discoveries. The guy who wrote the hit piece understands, that’s why he repeatedly said it’s surely not the final version.
And for those mentioning The Fifth Estate as something that somehow gave them the reason that it shouldn’t be made, the person that was saying it shouldn’t be made then was Julian Assange. He was the one who was scared to death of the movie! He didn’t want people talking about his life! Why they don’t want people talking about Brexit? She was even invited to participate but she just don’t want a movie (like Assange). For someone interested in facts and the complete truth she is spreading a lot of misinformation and half-truths! Just with the objective of stop someone else to talk about Brexit! It’s nuts!

(I started writing this post hours ago! My iPad died in the middle of it and in a panic, I took it to the Apple store for help. There was nothing they could do to fix it, and they told me I had lost everything on it unless I had backed it up. Since I don’t remember ever backing anything up, I figured all was lost. I was mostly sad about losing the almost 2000 screenshots of Benedict in my photos! So I decided to buy a new iPad, which apparently is called an “iPad” - my old one was the iPad 2 - and after they helped me set it up, the first thing that came up was this forum! Ha! It took me right back to what I was doing when my iPad died. And then I was hopeful for my pictures - and they’re all still there! Priorities! So at some point I must have told my old iPad to back up my stuff, or maybe it just did it on its own? Who knows! This keyboard is doing funny things, though, so I’ll have to figure out how it works.)
What I attempted to say earlier today was that I got into an argument with some twit on twitter. I should have stayed out of it and kept my mouth shut! There was a conversation about the leaked script for the Brexit movie, and someone said something about Benedict’s career never recovering from this. A number of people came to his defense, which was nice. Someone said there was no reason for his career to be ruined because of one bad movie. But someone (the twit) responded that The Current War wasn’t good, either. I jumped in and said that it was good, and it’s not out yet. She replied that most of the critics agreed with her. I answered back that the critics and everyone else were told that the movie wasn’t finished, so they had no business reviewing it. She answered back with statistics from Rotten Tomatoes. I answered and back that if it was ok to review unfinished movies, the rest of the critics would have done it, too, and not just those 15 on RT. She said the movie wasn’t unfinished - it just needed editing - and editing wouldn’t fix a “lousy script”. I replied that I remember what they said at the screening because I recorded it, and I pointed out that Doctor Strange has 89% on RT, based on 314 reviews, and 34 of them are Rottens, so it’s unfair to condemn a movie based on 15 reviews.
I guess she had enough of me after that! She said she was just giving her opinion, which was different from mine, and she was through discussing this with “an obvious Cumberbatch fan with only 15 followers and no avatar”! Ha! I looked up her up, and she’s actually a writer/director or something - certainly someone who should know better! I sent one final reply before blocking her. I told her that I, too, had only given my opinion, and that she was the one who brought up other critics and statistics to support what she said. I acknowledged that yes, I was just a fan and not a film expert like she was, and I apologized for wasting her time.
What a snob! She stopped talking to me because I didn’t have enough followers! So this is the world we’re living in now! Isn’t that the plot of a Black Mirror episode? And she’s in the film industry but doesn’t care was a movie-watcher thinks! I’m happy all her many followers will be able to read what a horrible person she is!
I didn’t even know I had any twitter followers at all! And I don’t care! I did find it amusing, though, that someone “liked” each thing I tweeted. Ha!
