I checked yesterday and it’s still in the Top Ten films globally (still #1 in the USA) so it should have more than one week there! That’s great considering a lot of people were predicting one day at most!

It fell out of the top ten here yesterday when I checked Netflix. The only movie still listed is Jumanji, and it’s getting pushed down. The rest of the list are tv series.

I almost forgot! Last night, I watched Tick Tick Boom and The Unforgivable. I didn’t like either one.
I found Andrew Garfield’s character in Tick Tick Boom annoying, which makes enjoying the movie difficult. I also thought he looked too old to play a 29-year-old - and I was right, because he’s 38. That sounds like being really picky about such a little thing, but the movie never lets you forget that he’s “almost 30” - a huge scary milestone for his character, who hasn’t achieved anything in his life yet. The movie is set in 1990, and it feels dated. I just kept thinking that there are better movies about struggling to make in theatre, like The Goodbye Girl and even Tootsie. I also had a problem with the accent he used in the movie. I realized that he sounded exactly like Dan Levy’s character, David, in Schitt’s Creek.
The Unforgivable could have been an episode of any police drama. I think there was supposed to be a surprising twist revealed at the end, but it was no surprise at all. There were tons of flashbacks of the exact same thing! Why?? If they’re going to use hazy flashbacks to slowly reveal what “really” happened 20 years earlier, or to show a character’s lost memories returning, then each flashback should give a slightly clearer picture until it’s all revealed. But no - they kept showing the same flashbacks over and over, taking up a lot of the movie’s time for no reason. The most interesting part of the movie for me was seeing that John Boy Walton (Richard Thomas) never ages!

Why is the line for TPOTD a different colour than the rest?
Also is there any way you can make the last two posts' graphics expandable? Thanks. 😊
