They clearly aren’t professional. I mean they forgot Eric in their list of most popular non-released Netflix series based on IMDb numbers even when Eric, by that parameter, should be at least on 5 in that list! But their numbers are the same official Netflix numbers. It’s just that they are comparing them with past titles instead of just the new stuff from teh week and at least they are lying about the old numbers, it’s true that the new titles look very weak (2M vs 10M!) place. The Gentlemen took third place again, but its viewership also declined to 3.7M views. The limited series adaptation Ripley took sixth place with just 2.5M views. I wasn't doubting his numbers. I just think his analysis might be flawed. Compare for instance the viewership on April 2023 and 2024, where he was comparing Obsession with Ripley. What happened there? Also, Obsession was sold as an "erotic thriller", had just 4 episodes, 155min +-.It can be binged without problem specially if you don't have to pay much attention because, for what I read, many scenes were one couple meeting and having sex. Ripley has 8 episodes, 450 min+-. I'm not defending Ripley but comparing it with Obsession doesn't make total sense. I've just watched 2 episodes of Ripley and the second one to me was still dull with TR doing stupid things like taking a mafioso to Dickie's villa or opening a letter while the maid was around or unlikely things like helping Marge with her book. Writing fake commercial letters isn't an example of literary competence. I know that he murders Dickie on episode 3 so I'll continue watching. Also I read this article which make me want to watch it. www.bbc.com/travel/article/20240410-ripleys-dolce-vita-is-in-black-and-white-but-the-amalfi-coasts-tiny-towns-are-in-technicolourRe Baby Reindeer, it was first yesterday at least (Ripley never reached #1, globally) and to me is very impressive because it doesn't have the same kind of production that other series, is more low budget and it starts like a comedy but it turns uncomfortable to watch (and I only watched one episode). I liked it. Here is too on #3.

You are right that they aren’t comparable in that case. Netflix was using a different metric then. They changed it on June, 2023. They now divide the total time of people watching the show and the run time so there aren’t issues between short and long shows.

So for Obsession the total length is 155 min=2h35min =2.583h
So the views give the 15 mi and something.
The number of hours viewed for the top 10 diminished a lot.

Yep, they are colossally wrong about that series and it’s a proof that, like you say, they aren’t very good doing the analysis. I erroneously thought it was post Netflix changing their metrics title. They should put more attention to what they include (as with they ignoring Eric in their other article!) but having said that, the rest of the other series in their list were streamed after June 2023.
Anyway, even the Netflix numbers are criticable. They have a slightly better method now but it’s still silly.

The other two series are Man in Full and Bodkin, which indeed alongside Eric, should be the last three awards bets for the Emmys this year! Only Eric doesn’t have a trailer! But yeah, it’s the one with the latest date

OT but the other day I read a comment on Facebook asking that if this was an Eric Clapton bio and I think the person was serious because he totally could be playing Eric Clapton with that look! lol

I read the Total Film piece. The new image is the only new image in the article but it’s a nice piece with new quotes by Morgan, Forbes and the three lead adult actors.
BC also does Eric voice so yeah, he is kinda playing both Vincent and Eric.
