Matt Haig said on twitter today that this project seems to be moving again, after a long wait, so who knows? Maybe we’ll still get this. 👍🏼

It was difficult to find the tweet.
Matt Haig has a lot of books being developed.

I always thought it was going to be a TV series.

Really? I think it was first reported as a film!
Sunnymarch has the TV deal with StudioCanal but they already made Louis Wain and are planning a few other films.

A very surprising choice of director. I absolutely loved TTSS and Let Me In. I haven't watched his movie with Fassbender but it was, of course, panned by critics. So much that it kinda affected his international career. I hope he does this movie and returns to form.
I said it was "interesting" not because that but because his style is more cold than, you know, "corny" ! Lol But it probably would help to the adaptation. In certain way, the plot similar to Let Me In because the characters are also inmortal creatures contacting and confronting mere mortals.

It will be a TV series! I'm on my phone but I will move this thread later.
I just read Cannes, not the MipTV part.
