Sherlock wasn’t out on DVD yet when Netflix started showing it, so the only way I could watch it from the beginning was there. PBS repeated it sometimes, but not all the episodes.
Yes, of course I bought the DVDs as soon as they came out. And then I bought them again on blu-ray in a special limited edition set, which also includes the DVDs . So I have three complete sets of the series. But watching it on Netflix was special! It holds fond memories for me of being blown away from the very first episode, and then telling absolutely everyone I knew about it. That episode alone was worth the cost of Netflix. Then it became like an addiction - I would sneak off with my laptop or iPad to watch an episode when I really should have been doing something more productive. And so I watched them over and over and over, and got more out of them each time.

Lol on Twitter there was just a bunch of newish fans who are excitedly telling people that there’s a psychological connection between Hound & Final Problem. Really?! 😱
Although it’s very cute that people are still getting into it years after it...ended. 😭

I know this isn’t Sherlock News, but I think it’s a hopeful sign that Sue Vertue has Sherlock and John as her twitter profile picture.

This wasn’t the Sherlock announcement I was hoping for, but ok! Why is this news, though? Does it mean the BBC no longer own it and will have nothing more to do with it? Or does it mean they are giving (selling) permission for other countries to show it?
They mention that here in Canada it’s on CBC Gem, which is the online streaming service for the CBC. It’s been there a while! I noticed at Christmas that they had added The Abominable Bride, and I watched it again. It was still so good! That’s also where I saw the British version of Ghosts.

It’s already available on Amazon in the US ( I just watched ASIP there last week) so not sure what the impact of that deal will be on that.
