Unless they cancel each other out...
I can't watch the show anyways, cause Emmys have the habit of spoiling all the shows that are nominated in monologues and all sorts of comedy skits. I'm still only half-way through Westworld for instance and I certainly don't want it spoiled for me, and I've a feeling it's one of those shows that will get referenced a lot.

I am ambivalent towards Westworld. On one hand I think it is a great adaptation or recreation of the movie. On the other hand the violence, the fact that it is a world just for men, the way they envision the future are all awful.
It won some of the creative awards.
If I have to chose between Westworld and Stranger things, I go for Westworld. Stranger Things is just a copy of other movies. A good copy, but still a copy.

Ann Dowd won Outstanding supporting actress in a drama series for The Handmaid’s Tale. I'm so happy. She deserved another nomination for The Leftovers.
Also, Bruce Miller won writing for a drama series for The Handmaid’s Tale.
I hope The Handmaid's Tale wins.
Edit: wow! Also directing for The Handmaid's tale!! Reed Morano

Well, I don't mind so much that Riz beat out BC for best actor (very tough competition for sure) but that absolutely horrible episode of Black Mirror beat out TLD??? WTF? That is a true abomination IMO.
:-))

I didn't watch that episode but I like Black Mirror.
I'd like to watch The Night Of but prisons dramas stress me.

that absolutely horrible episode of Black Mirror beat out TLD??? WTF? That is a true abomination IMO. Yeah well, opinions, heard of them? (Sorry, you did say "IMO". I don't know, that episode affected me a lot emotionally and I lashed out at what I found to be "hater-type" criticism, as in no reasons given just "ugh it was an abomination!", about it. Sorry.) I'm super pleased cause I was rooting for it, it's my favorite thing in television all year! It was also very critically acclaimed. Many would have said Sherlock winning would have been an abomination too, cause people hated series 4, but I bet you'd have love that (I wouldn't have minded either, cause I thought series 4 was great and MUCH better than series 3, and TLD was easily its best episode since TRF.) I haven't seen Handmaiden's Tale, Night Of or Little Big Lies (I've not watched much TV lately) so I don't have much to say about the winners otherwise. Female-driven stories (as in, where many of the main characters were women, I do know about Handmaiden's Tale even though I haven't yet watched it, I am planning to though!) seemed to have nominated though which I'm extremely happy about!
